2. These Terms
These terms apply to your use of this website and to any quotation we give you. If you place an order, your written quotation or contract will set out the details of your order, including the products, the total price, payment terms and timescales. If anything in your written quotation or contract differs from these terms, your written quotation or contract takes priority.
3. Using Our Website
- The information on our website is for general guidance. We work to keep it accurate and up to date, but products, styles, colours and prices can change.
- Images are for illustration. Colours and finishes can look different on screen from the finished product, so please ask to see samples before you order.
- Prices, offers and timescales shown on our website are a guide only and are not an offer to sell. The price and timescales for your project will be confirmed in your written quotation.
- You must not misuse our website, for example by introducing viruses or other harmful material, or by trying to gain unauthorised access to it.
- The content of our website, including text, images and logos, belongs to us or our licensors. You may view it for your own personal use, but you must not copy it for commercial use without our written permission.
- Our website may link to other websites. We are not responsible for the content of those websites.
4. Quotations and Orders
- Our quotations are free. Each quotation is valid for the period stated on it.
- A contract is formed when you accept our written quotation and we confirm your order.
- We may need to carry out a survey before your products are made. If the survey shows anything that would change the price or the work, we will tell you before going ahead, and you can decide whether to continue.
5. Your Right to Cancel
If you enter into a contract with us in your home, away from our business premises, or at a distance (for example online or by phone), you normally have the right to cancel within 14 days without giving a reason, under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. We will give you full details of how to cancel, and a cancellation form, with your contract.
If you expressly ask us to start work within the cancellation period and then cancel, you may have to pay a proportionate amount for any work carried out before you told us you wanted to cancel, provided we told you about this before you agreed.
6. Payment
Your quotation will set out the total price, including VAT and any other charges, together with any deposit and when each payment is due.
7. Installation
- We will agree an installation date with you. We will do our best to keep to it, but dates can sometimes change because of bad weather, supply delays or other things outside our control. If this happens, we will keep you informed.
- Please give us clear access to the areas where we are working, and tell us about anything you know of that could affect the work.
- If your property is listed or in a conservation area, planning or listed building consent may be needed. Please tell us before you place your order, and your quotation will confirm who is responsible for obtaining it.
8. Guarantees and Your Legal Rights
Your products and installation come with the guarantee set out in your contract and guarantee documents. This is in addition to your legal rights. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality, and services must be carried out with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights.
9. Our Liability
If we fail to comply with these terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our failure or our negligence. We are not responsible for loss or damage that is not foreseeable.
We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or the negligence of our employees or subcontractors, and for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
We supply our products and services for domestic and private use only.
10. Complaints
If you are unhappy with anything we have done, please contact us using the details in section 1 and we will do our best to put things right. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your complaint, you can get free, impartial advice from Advice Direct Scotland at consumeradvice.scot.
11. Your Privacy
We only use your personal information as set out in our Privacy Policy.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version shown on our website applies to your use of the website, and the terms in your written quotation or contract apply to your order.
13. Governing Law
These terms are governed by Scots law. You may bring proceedings in the Scottish courts or in the courts of the part of the UK where you live.
